Carnivores & Vegans

Opinions in this article are rooted in the philosophy of The FineDay Academy, which produces all the content for the Zoo You website.

You can see important aspects of the academy’s philosophy at the bottom of this page in the video “From Quantum Physics to World Peace.”

The video includes an opinion about human civil rights that we should all attempt to lovingly apply protections of free will sovereignty for “all inhabitants of Earth.” That language leaves open the possibility of applying protections for animals.

And that begs the question, what kind of protections? Should we protect prey animals from all predators including humans?

The Internet has many videos of humans rescuing cute little prey animals like birds or small dogs from larger or more powerful predators. But they are the exception to the generally accepted rule that nature must be allowed to operate with prey animals being kept in check by predators.

For many, the natural order of predators eating prey includes humans eating animals based on the idea that humans have a biological need for animal meat.

The FineDay Academy research in the subject of ETs for our series of Sci-Fi books has found that some people believe that a human need for flesh derives from genetic manipulation in our evolution by carnivorous Reptilian aliens.

The academy is not aware of any evidence for that claim, but the subject of aliens opens the door to one of the reasons why humans that do have a need for animal flesh might want to support efforts to find an acceptable substitute.

Operating on the principle that it’s OK for us to eat animals because we are superior to them in intelligence, strength, awareness, emotions or any other attribute might be a dangerous principal for humanity to embrace.

What if humanity is a species in a relatively primitive civilization compared to millions or billions of more advanced civilizations throughout our universe of trillions of galaxies comprised of multiple trillions of stars with virtually countless planets? We would be well advised not to promote a philosophy about eating less capable species as we encounter more advanced species.

In the meantime, The FineDay Academy does not make a moral judgement against their colleagues and friends that feel they need to eat meat. That’s because the academy is not aware of any meat alternative proven to be a healthy long-term complete substitute for people who have a need for animal products.

Instead, The FineDay Academy encourages everyone to do their absolute best to lessen (and if it at all possible totally remove) any suffering for animals if the animal’s life is to be ended for human food. Right up to the end, a happy and healthy life for the animal should be supported.

It’s all part of the love that the academy hopes people of the world will learn to share as expressed in the following video:
